Warner brothers

The Warner's story began in 1881 in a village, not too far from Warsaw, with the birth of Hirsch Moses Wonsal (Harry Morris Warner). Trying to escape the hard times and provide a better life for their family, Harry Warner's father, Benjamin Wonsal journeyed to New York, landing in Castle Garden in 1883.  It is here that the Wonsal's became the Warner's. Continuing the journey, Ben Warmer moved onto Baltimore, where he opened up the Baltimore Shoe Repair Shop.

That same year, in winter time, Harry Warner, along with his mother and sister join their father in Baltimore. The family expanded even more with the birth of Albert Warner in 1884, Henry Warner in 1886, and Sam Warner in 1887. Continuing to find their footing, the Warner's move to Canada, where Jacob Warner is born in 1892. Later in his teens, looking to transform himself, Jacob Warner became Jack Leonard Warner.

The Warners' however did not remain in Canada for long, and move to Youngstown, Ohio where Harry Warner, at the age of fifteen opened up his own store. By this time, the Warner's added three more family members, David, Sadie, and Milton.

This is the story of the Warner brothers, the journeys of Jack L. Warner, Harry Warner, Albert Warner, and Sam Warner, marking the beginning of Warner Brothers Motion pictures.
